Samantha and Ari first met at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2013. They joined Alpha Kappa Psi and got acquainted through the fraternity’s events. They began dating on June 28, 2013. They graduated from UTSA in May 2014 with their bachelor’s in marketing. Together, they moved back to Houston for a few years, until the opportunity arose to move to North Carolina in 2018. Then, in 2019, they moved to Denver, Colorado for a new job Samantha accepted. In August 2020, they purchased their first home in the mountains - Silverthorne, CO!

The Engagement

For Samantha’s 30th birthday, the couple visited Houston for what Samantha thought was her birthday celebration… Ari pretended that they had to go back to his parent’s house (a 35-minute drive, one-way) for a gift from his parents and insisted they go. They were sure to miss their dinner reservation... When they walked into Ari's parent's home, the lights turned on, and Samantha was surprised with balloons, family, close friends, and a ring! Ari proposed to Samantha with their loved ones around them. It was magical!

Samantha y Ari se conocieron por primera vez en la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio en 2013. Se unieron a Alpha Kappa Psi y se conocieron a través de los eventos de la fraternidad. Comenzaron a salir el 28 de junio de 2013. Se graduaron de UTSA en mayo de 2014 con su licenciatura en marketing. Juntos regresaron a Houston por unos años, hasta que surgió la oportunidad de mudarse a Carolina del Norte en 2018. Luego, en 2019, se mudaron a Colorado y en agosto de 2020 compraron su primera casa en las montañas.

La pedida de mano

Para el cumpleaños número 30 de Samantha, la pareja visitó Houston para lo que Samantha pensó que era la celebración de su cumpleaños... Ari fingió que tenían que regresar a la casa de sus padres (a 35 minutos en auto) para recibir un regalo de sus padres e insistió en que fueran. Seguramente perderían sus reservas para cenar... Cuando entraron a la casa, las luces se encendieron y Samantha se sorprendió con globos, familiares, amigos cercanos y un anillo. Ari le propuso matrimonio a Samantha con sus seres queridos a su alrededor. ¡Fue mágico!
